Is Dragon’s Dogma 2 Steam Deck compatible?
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is not currently rated for Steam Deck by Valve. However, we expect it to be unsupported based on our testing, which confirmed that it’s an incredibly demanding game.
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen has received a ‘verified’ commendation by Valve and lends itself to being played on the go. While we thought this bode well for Dragon’s Dogma 2, it simply cannot bring the same level of performance to the Deck, and rarely runs at higher than 20fps on the lowest settings and with AMD FSR enabled.
Unfortunately, it appears that the lack of optimization plaguing the PC version is also present in the Steam Deck port. This does feel like a fixable situation for Capcom, but it will take time and we don’t expect Valve to offer a playable or verified rating until then.
